Vaginal Revitalization Q & A

What is vaginal revitalization?

Dr. Modad offers vaginal revitalization at Palm Coast OB GYN to improve your sexual health. She uses the innovative Juliet laser for her vaginal revitalization treatments.

The Juliet laser delivers pulses of light to trigger collagen production, the protein in your vaginal tissue that provides strength and elasticity. The light energy helps create a new layer of collagen, remodeling and tightening the tissue.

The heat from the Juliet laser also increases circulation to your vaginal tissue, improving moisture and health.

Dr. Modad uses the Juliet laser because of its versatility. The laser tool has three wands, allowing her to treat different areas of the body. In addition to the vagina, Dr. Modad uses the Juliet laser to treat the vulva and the skin.

Vulva

The vulva is the external area around the vagina. With the Juliet Laser, Dr. Modad tightens and lightens the tissue and improves sensitivity to the clitoris.

Skin

Dr. Modad also uses the innovative laser to erase wrinkles, age spots, and acne scars. In addition, the laser tool can minimize the appearance of larger scars such as Cesarean section scars.

Am I a candidate for vaginal revitalization?

Dr. Modad determines if you’re a candidate for vaginal revitalization after a free comprehensive consultation. Taking a holistic approach to care, she evaluates your physical, emotional, and social well-being.

You may be a candidate for vaginal revitalization if you have symptoms such as painful intercourse, vaginal dryness, or problems with stress urinary incontinence.

What can I expect during vaginal revitalization?

Vaginal revitalization at Palm Coast OB GYN is a short and effective in-office procedure. The Juliet only uses light energy, so the procedure doesn't involve any surgery or serious medication.

Though relatively painless, some women report feeling a slight warmth or minor discomfort during treatment. To minimize pain, Dr. Modad uses a numbing agent.

You can resume your usual activities after your vaginal revitalization, and you should feel like your normal self soon after (usually within hours to days).

What can I expect after vaginal revitalization?

Though results vary, vaginal revitalization at Palm Coast OB GYN can help with sexual intimacy concerns like painful intercourse, vaginal dryness as well as mild to moderate urinary incontinence.

Dr. Modad recommends at least three treatments, though you may need additional treatments to get the best outcome.

Here's what some of our recent vaginal revitalization patients have said:

"I am very pleased with Dr. Modad's very thorough explanation of the Juliet protocol and her patient in answering questions. My response after completing the 3rd treatment (yes, they are a little uncomfortable) was so worth it! Less painful intercourse, renewed satisfaction; and it gets better the more we have! Hubby & I are so pleased! (In our 7th decade!)"

"So ladies let me tell you, after the first treatment of the Juliet treatment life was much better! No leakage when I sneezed or coughed. No little accidents while rough housing with my grandson. Sex was still a little painful, but enjoyable. By the END of the treatment plan all I can say about sex is... WOW. To be able to enjoy it and not dread it was such a relief. Dr. Modad said it'd make my orgasms better... And Boy Did It!!! So glad I decided to have the Juliet procedure done."
